Oman and Belgium have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in the green hydrogen sector during Sultan Haitham bin Tarik's state visit to Belgium. The agreement, between Hydrogen Oman (Hydrom) and the Belgian Hydrogen Council (BHC), aims to strengthen collaboration across the hydrogen value chain, focusing on production, transportation, and utilization. Salim Al Aufi, Oman's Minister of Energy, emphasized the partnership's potential to bolster energy security and facilitate a seamless hydrogen supply chain. This initiative builds on existing projects like Hyport Duqm, which aims to export green ammonia globally.
