Lithium carbonate prices are projected to rise by 30% in 2025, reaching approximately $20,000 per tonne, according to analysts at BMI, a Fitch Solutions Company. This increase follows an expected average price of $15,500 per tonne for 2024, which is an improvement from the current level of $10,466 per tonne, but significantly lower than the $35,956 per tonne average in 2023. Despite this optimistic outlook, analysts caution that abundant supply and a stronger US dollar may pressure overall commodity prices in 2025. Copper prices are also expected to rise to $10,000 per tonne, while nickel is forecasted to decline for a third consecutive year.
