Japanese steelmaker JFE Steel Corporation has successfully produced and shipped its first order of UOE steel pipe, according to the company's latest newsletter.
The total volume ordered was 86,000 tonnes. The products will be supplied to a gas pipeline in Southeast Asia. JFE Steel's West Japan Works in Fukuyama District is responsible for manufacturing the UOE steel pipe order.
UOE steel pipe requires stringent surface-hardness specifications, which JFE Steel has now demonstrated the capability to meet. This marks a significant milestone for the company as it expands its product offerings in the energy infrastructure sector. The successful delivery of this order positions JFE Steel as a competitive supplier of high-quality UOE steel pipe for critical pipeline projects globally.
