Fortescue Metals Group, an Australian mining company, reported shipping 191.6 million tons of iron ore in the 2023/2024 financial year, which ended in June.

This figure aligns with the previous fiscal year but falls short of the estimated range of 192 to 197 million tons. Total ore production for the year reached 216.9 million tons, a 1% decrease year-on-year.

In the fourth quarter, Fortescue achieved a record quarterly shipment of 53.7 million tons, marking a 10% increase from the same period last year.

For FY2024/2025, the company anticipates shipments between 190 million and 200 million tons.
