Chinese battery manufacturer Farasis Energy and Hong Kong-based automaker JMEV have entered into a strategic partnership to develop and commercialize solid-state batteries. This collaboration focuses on research, production, and market application of the technology, which promises advantages like high energy density, fast charging, long cycle life, and improved safety over traditional batteries. Farasis has begun series production of its Super Pouch Solution (SPS) batteries, which will be used in JMEV’s Elight all-electric sedan. The companies aim to leverage their existing cooperation on battery procurement to enhance electric vehicle technology.
