Chinese export prices for hot-rolled coils (HRCs) have risen, driven by improved market sentiment and favorable macroeconomic factors. As of September 20, the price for SS400 4.75mm HRC increased by $4/tonne to $462/ton FOB from Tianjin. Following the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, export activity picked up, with prices for SS400 3mm HRC rising to $457-465/ton FOB. However, overall transaction volumes remain limited, raising concerns about sustained demand for HRCs. In contrast, the export price for SPCC 1.0mm cold-rolled coil fell by $4/tonne to $534/ton FOB.
