Vietnam will impose temporary anti-dumping duties on galvanized steel imports from China and South Korea starting April 15. The affected products include flat-rolled carbon steel with less than 0.6% carbon, treated through galvanizing or metal coating. Following a request from five domestic steelmakers, Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade initiated an anti-dumping investigation in June 2024. Chinese steelmakers will face tariffs of 37.13%, while South Korean producers will encounter duties ranging from 13.7% to 15.67%. The investigation is expected to last 120 days.
