On December 4, 2024, the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) made an affirmative final ruling in the third sunset reviews of anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duties (CVD) on circular welded carbon-quality steel pipes from China. The USITC determined that revoking the existing AD and CVD orders would likely result in material injury to the U.S. domestic industry in the foreseeable future. Consequently, the current AD and CVD orders on these imports will remain in effect, ensuring continued protection for the domestic market against potential harm from Chinese imports.
