US imports of cold rolled coil (CRC) rose by 1.3% in September 2024, totaling 120,131 metric tons, according to preliminary data from the US Department of Commerce. This figure represents a 27.6% increase year-on-year. The total value of CRC imports reached $128.7 million, up from $123.8 million in August and $98.4 million in September 2023. Canada was the largest supplier, exporting 40,847 metric tons, followed by Taiwan with 22,056 metric tons, South Korea with 12,663 metric tons, Vietnam with 8,955 metric tons, and Australia with 6,930 metric tons.
