Ukrainian scrap metal exports have increased significantly, rising by 46.9% year-on-year in the first half of 2024. This growth is attributed to heightened demand from international markets, particularly in Europe. The total volume exported reached approximately 182,480 tons, with revenue from these exports also seeing a substantial increase.
The primary destinations for Ukrainian scrap remain Poland and Greece, which together account for the majority of shipments. This trend highlights Ukraine's strengthening position in the global scrap metal market amid ongoing economic developments.
