Ukraine's scrap exports experienced a significant decline in January 2025, dropping by over 50% compared to the same period last year. The total volume of exports reached approximately 15.69 thousand tons, marking the lowest level since May of the previous year.
Poland emerged as the primary destination for these exports, receiving nearly 98.5% of the total supply, while a smaller portion was exported to Germany. The financial impact was substantial, with export revenues falling by 52.4% compared to the previous month and by 13.2% year-on-year, amounting to $4.41 million.
