Ukraine's ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih Completes Repairs on Blast Furnace No. ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, the Ukrainian arm of the global steel giant ArcelorMittal, has successfully finished the repairs on its blast furnace No. 6. The repair process, lasting 296 days, was carried out amidst challenging conditions due to the ongoing regional conflict. These repairs have bolstered equipment reliability, cut operational expenses, and enhanced energy efficiency. Noteworthy upgrades include the replacement of aspiration units to control emissions and the repair of air heater No. 2 to reduce coke usage. The company now awaits approval to resume operations with the refurbished furnace.
