In September, Ukraine’s steel and pig iron production saw a decline. The country’s pig iron output fell by 3% month-on-month to 624,100 metric tons, while crude steel production decreased by 11.7% compared to the previous month, totaling 610,000 metric tons.
These reductions reflect ongoing challenges in the industry, influenced by geopolitical and economic factors. Despite these setbacks, the year-on-year figures show some resilience, with pig iron output up by 28.3% and crude steel production rising by 9.3%.
