In October, Ukraine saw a significant decrease in its exports of hot-rolled coil (HRC) and long products. According to national customs data, the total volume of HRC exported amounted to 83,470 tonnes, marking a 34% decline compared to the previous month. The value of these exports also dropped by 35%, totaling $48 million.
Similarly, the export of long products experienced a downturn. The total volume exported was 41,820 tonnes, which is a 3.4% decrease from the previous month and a substantial 54.4% drop compared to the same period last year. Revenue from these exports was $29.8 million, reflecting a 4% increase from the previous month but a 60% decrease year-on-year.
Despite these declines, the largest consumers of Ukrainian HRC and long products remained Poland, Bulgaria, and Germany, which together accounted for a significant portion of the exports.
