The UK’s Department for Business and Trade has announced the extension of steel safeguard measures on all 15 categories, including the suspension for Ukraine, until June 30, 2026. This decision follows the Trade Remedies Authority’s review, which recommended the extension to protect the domestic steel industry from potential surges in imports. The measures, initially set to expire on June 30, 2024, have been extended for an additional two years to support the UK producers across all steel categories.
