EMSTEEL, the UAE's largest steel producer, is considering the acquisition of Celsa's mills located in Poland, Britain, and Norway. According to El Economista, Celsa has been selling these assets, valued at approximately €1 billion, to stabilize its financial situation. While negotiations between Celsa's management and EMSTEEL have begun, a sale is not expected to occur soon. The Polish mill produces around 1 million tonnes of rebar and other products annually, while the British mill has a capacity of 1.2 million tonnes of finished steel. The sale of these mills could significantly aid Celsa in addressing its financial challenges.
