Trinecke Zelezarny, the Czech Republic's largest steel producer, has entered into a three-year agreement with CEZ ESCO to purchase 4.4 GWh of emission-free electricity annually. The clean energy will be sourced from the Vrskman photovoltaic power plant, marking a significant step in the company’s commitment to sustainability.
This collaboration highlights Trinecke Zelezarny’s ongoing efforts to reduce carbon emissions and enhance energy efficiency. The steelmaker has also announced plans to invest heavily in green transformation projects, including the construction of an electric arc furnace, which is expected to cut CO2 emissions by 55% upon completion.
