Thyssenkrupp has modernized the water management system at its Duisburg-Beeckerwerth hot strip mill, improving cooling efficiency at the exit roller table. The upgrade enhances process stability, energy efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
The modernization includes new gravel filters, pumps, and cooling towers, along with optimized cooling tower fans and variable-speed pumps. These improvements ensure better temperature control and higher product quality while increasing resource efficiency.
