Iran's steel exports witnessed a 6.6% increase in the last Iranian year, reaching a total of 11.3 million metric tons. The growth was particularly noticeable in finished steel product exports, which rose by 7.4% to 3.4 million metric tons. Long steel exports, including rebar, increased by 8.2% to three million metric tons, with rebar exports alone growing by 5.4% to 2.6 million metric tons.
Flat steel exports amounted to 482,000 metric tons, up by 2.9% year on year. Semi-finished steel product exports also saw a significant increase of 6.3% to 7.8 million metric tons. Billet and bloom exports slightly decreased by 1.1% to 5.3 million metric tons, while slab exports rose by 26.2% to 2.5 million metric tons.
