Spain’s steel production reached 1.19 million metric tons in March 2025, marking a 13.3% increase from February and a 17% rise year-on-year. The country’s steelmakers also recycled 977,000 metric tons of scrap during the month, up 17.4% from February.
In the first quarter of 2025, Spain’s total steel output amounted to 3.28 million metric tons, compared to 2.91 million metric tons in the same period of 2024. The industry continues to focus on sustainability, with scrap recycling playing a key role in production efficiency.
