Sidenor Group, a prominent steel producer based in Spain, has announced the acquisition of Eplus, an industrial scrap and waste recycling company located in Barcelona. This move is part of Sidenor’s ongoing efforts to enhance its decarbonization and sustainability initiatives.
Eplus, which operates on a 2,000-square-meter facility, processes various materials including ferrous and nonferrous metals, paper, cardboard, and plastics. These materials are then reused in steel and other industries, contributing to a circular economy.
This acquisition follows Sidenor’s earlier purchases of Miguel Martin and Aguilar Metal Recycling, further securing its supply of scrap and reinforcing its commitment to sustainable practices.
