Severstal, a leading Russian steelmaker, has announced the commencement of production for cold-formed steel sheet piles and channels under the Grani brand. This new product line is designed for use in hydraulic structures, transport, civil construction, and infrastructure projects. The cold-forming method employed allows for higher production speed and delivery efficiency.
One of the key advantages of these cold-formed sheet piles is their reduced steel consumption, thanks to a constant profile thickness and increased width. This innovation can lower the weight of structures by up to 30%, making it an optimal solution for applications with low to medium loads. The production line has a capacity of up to 60,000 tonnes per year.
Severstal’s new product is expected to meet high demand in both domestic and international markets, offering a cost-effective and efficient alternative to traditional hot-rolled sheet piles.
