The Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) has signed a contract with Suez Steel Company for the operation of a dry bulk handling berth and yard at Adabiya Port. The agreement, initiated by SCZONE Chairman Walid Gamal El-Din and Suez Steel Managing Director Rafik Boulos Daou, allocates a 30,000-square-meter area for an investment of $120 million. The project involves operating berths 4 and 5, which will enhance the port's capacity to handle dry bulk goods. The expected trading volume is projected to reach 5 million tons annually in the first phase, growing to 10 million tons within five years, significantly boosting the port's activity and supporting various industrial sectors.
