In response to inadequate local supplies of coiled long products from key mills, Saudi traders have booked approximately 20,000-25,000 tonnes of Egyptian wire rod at around $610 per tonne, cfr Jeddah. Deliveries are expected by the end of the month.

After accounting for inland transportation and clearance costs, the prices delivered to traders' warehouses are estimated between SAR 2,330-2,370 ($621-632). This move highlights ongoing challenges in the local market for long products.
