The Romanian long steel market has maintained stable pricing, but demand remains weak as buyers hesitate to commit to purchases. Traders and the country’s sole rebar producer have kept prices unchanged, reflecting limited transactional movement.
Rebar prices from Romania’s sole producer are steady at €590-605 per tonne ex-works, while traders continue to offer rebar at €590-600 per tonne ex-warehouse. Wire rod prices also remain unchanged at €580-595 per tonne ex-warehouse.
Market participants cite reduced public and private investment as a key factor behind sluggish demand. With the summer period approaching, traders anticipate financial challenges in the coming months.
