Rebar prices across much of Europe declined in mid-June due to weak demand and limited buying activity. In Italy, domestic prices fell to €520–560 per tonne ex-works, with some mills reportedly willing to accept €510 for large orders. Delivered prices to Austria dropped to €605–615 per tonne, while German rebar was offered at €630 per tonne delivered.
In the Netherlands, workable prices slipped to €635 per tonne delivered, down from €670 in previous weeks. The only notable exception was Spain, where rebar offers rose to €615–620 per tonne delivered, reflecting a modest upward correction.
Despite the overall bearish trend, some market participants believe prices may stabilize due to rising scrap costs and anticipated energy price increases during the summer.
