Rebar import offers in Singapore and Hong Kong have continued to decline, influenced by falling Chinese steel prices and market sentiment. A leading Malaysian mill has reduced its theoretical-weight rebar offer to $540 per tonne delivered to Singapore, down from $550 last week. A trader recently offered December-shipment rebar at $535 per tonne, with Chinese rebar priced around $560 per tonne. Buyers remain cautious, awaiting price stability in China, and no significant deals have been reported since early October. In contrast, Vietnamese mills have increased rebar prices by VND 150 per kilogram due to rising scrap costs.
