Polish rebar prices have risen as local mills remain firm on maintaining higher offers. In the week leading up to December 13, 2024, prices for domestic rebar increased to 2,580-2,610 zloty per tonne, up from 2,500-2,580 zloty per tonne the previous week. This increase is driven by higher production costs, particularly electricity prices.
Despite low demand, mills are determined to avoid significant discounts, aiming to show better financial results for the last quarter of the year. Market participants have mixed expectations about future price trends, with some predicting stability and others anticipating potential decreases in January.
