Polish steel rebar prices declined again in early July, pressured by sluggish demand and excess supply from mills. Offers dropped to 2,480–2,500 zloty per tonne CPT, down from 2,520–2,550 the previous week. Transactions were heard at 2,500 zloty, reflecting limited sales activity.
Market participants cited rare sales, high temperatures, and mill oversupply as key factors behind the price drop. Meanwhile, wire rod prices remained stable at 2,680–2,720 zloty per tonne CPT, supported by tighter availability. Some Ukrainian import offers were reported at €570 per tonne DAP.
