Polish rebar prices have dropped due to sluggish demand, with market participants reporting lower transaction levels. Some mills have been forced to sell at reduced rates to maintain sales, while wire rod prices have remained stable due to limited supply.
Rebar offers have hovered around 2,580-2,600 zloty per tonne CPT, reflecting a downward trend from previous weeks. Meanwhile, wire rod prices have held steady at 2,750-2,850 zloty per tonne CPT, supported by constrained availability.
Industry analysts note that cheaper European scrap prices have contributed to the weaker sentiment in the long steel market. While some buyers believe rebar prices may have bottomed out, uncertainty remains regarding future demand trends.
