Prices for long steel products in Poland have dropped due to sluggish demand and a generally negative market sentiment. Rebar prices in the domestic market fell to 2,550-2,560 zloty per tonne CPT, down from 2,580-2,600 zloty per tonne the previous week.
Wire rod prices also declined, with offers ranging between 2,700-2,800 zloty per tonne CPT, compared to 2,750-2,850 zloty per tonne the previous week. Market participants cite weaker construction activity and lower European scrap prices as key factors influencing the downturn.
Import rebar offers from Ukraine were heard at €555-560 per tonne DAP border, adding further pressure on domestic pricing. Traders note that the overall steel market remains weak, with prices continuing to decrease week by week.
