The Northern European wire rod market has experienced a period of stability, with prices remaining flat amid a quiet market environment. Despite efforts by suppliers to push for higher prices, the market continues to face low demand.
This trend has persisted over the past few months, with little change in market activity. Domestic transaction prices for drawing-quality wire rod are currently at €650 per tonne ex-works, while mesh-grade wire rod is priced at €630 per tonne.
Market participants do not expect significant changes in the coming weeks, as activity remains subdued and drawing mills are not restocking.
