Nippon Steel Corporation has signed a memorandum of understanding with its subsidiaries, including Nippon Steel Metal Products, Nippon Steel Pipe, and Nippon Steel Coated Steel Pipe, to restructure its business operations.
This initiative aims to enhance efficiency and competitiveness in the domestic ERW steel pipe market, effective April 1, 2025.
As part of the restructuring, Nippon Steel Metal Products will acquire commercial rights for construction steel pipes, while Nippon Steel will absorb the mechanical steel pipe business from Nippon Steel Pipe through a merger, optimizing production structures across the companies.
