The Libyan Iron and Steel Company (LISCO) recently held a meeting with experts from the Italian firm Danieli to discuss modernization plans for its steel plants. The discussions focused on developing a slab casting machine and establishing a new crucible furnace at Steel Plant 2.

During the meeting, participants explored the latest global technologies in slab casting, aiming to enhance production efficiency and product quality in line with modern industry standards. The construction of the new crucible furnace is expected to significantly improve smelting operations and reduce energy consumption.
