The Libyan Iron and Steel Company has set a historic milestone by exporting 210,000 tons of hot briquetted iron (HBI) during the first quarter of 2025. These record-breaking exports were delivered to multiple Arab and European countries through 16 shipments from the company’s port.

This success was achieved in collaboration with FGE, whose active role in the production process ensured the delivery of high-quality products meeting global market standards. The company attributes this achievement to its strategic vision of exploring new markets and expanding its export footprint, further boosting the national economy, diversifying resources, and solidifying its position as a leading iron exporter in the region.
