Kametstal Iron and Steel Works has resumed pig iron production for export after a six-month hiatus, responding to demand from North American customers. The first shipments began in November, with plans to deliver 17,000 tons by the end of the month. This revival follows extensive preparations, including equipment checks and staff training. In 2024, Kametstal increased pig iron production by 2% to 1.367 million tons, while steel production rose by 5% to 1.61 million tons compared to the previous year.
