Italian rebar prices have remained mostly stable over the past week, although the lower end of the price range has decreased by €10 per tonne compared to the end of September. Current transaction values in the domestic market are approximately €280-300 per tonne base ex-works. Including additional size extras, the prices hover around €540-560 per tonne ex-works.
Despite producers’ efforts to implement price increases, the activity has been too slow to achieve the desired hikes. Buyers and distributors anticipate further price declines in the coming weeks, in line with decreasing scrap prices. The current price for domestic mesh stands at approximately €390-400 per tonne, not accounting for transport costs.
