In October, Italian crude steel output saw a 2.2% year-on-year increase, marking the first rise after several months of decline. Despite this uptick, the total production for the first ten months of the year fell by 4.7% to 17 million tonnes. The production of flat steel dropped by 12.3% in October, while long steel output slightly increased by 0.6%.
