Italian crude steel production has continued its downward trend, with output falling by 3.9% year-on-year in July to nearly 1.7 million tonnes. Over the first seven months of the year, production decreased by 5.4% compared to the same period last year, totaling approximately 12.5 million tonnes.
This decline reflects ongoing challenges in the industry, including reduced demand and economic uncertainties. Despite these challenges, the production of long products saw a slight increase, while flat steel production experienced a significant drop. The overall outlook remains cautious as the market adjusts to these persistent declines.
