The Italian and broader European coil market remains subdued, with weak demand and limited purchasing activity. Domestic producers continue to offer short lead times, with prices reported at €540–560 per tonne base delivered.
Import prices, however, appear to have bottomed out after a steep decline. Transactions are occurring in the €460–520 per tonne CFR Italy range, depending on origin and volume. Turkish mills are reportedly holding firm on prices, while Indonesian and Indian offers vary between €470 and €520.
Buyers are cautiously resuming import purchases, favoring nearby suppliers like Turkey and Algeria for logistical ease. Cold-rolled coil imports are also active, with Indian and Turkish material secured at around €600–610 per tonne CFR.
