The company's latest quotes for non-skin passed SAE1006 or SS400 grade HRC, scheduled for January/February shipment, are set at approximately $534 per ton cfr southern Vietnam, down $14 from last month's price of $548. While Hoa Phat offered rebates last month to boost sales, the overall demand remains sluggish, with local buyers adopting a cautious approach. Competing offers from Chinese and South Korean suppliers are around $530 to $535 per ton cfr Vietnam, further complicating Hoa Phat's domestic sales efforts.
