Guardian Metal Resources PLC (LON:GMET)(OTCQX:GMTLF), a mineral exploration and development company focused on tungsten in Nevada, USA, announced today, July 28, 2025, the acquisition of the historical Schofield open-pit mine. This strategic move further expands the Tempiute tungsten project, extending its mineralized strike length to approximately 3km. The acquisition involved 18 Bureau of Land Management (BLM) unpatented Lode Mining Claims, one BLM Placer Claim, and three BLM Mill Site Claims. This development follows a recent US Department of Defense (DoD) award of $6.2 million for the Pilot Mountain project and a completed $21 million equity raise. Guardian Metal is finalizing plans for an extensive geological mapping program, including geochemical sampling and multiple geophysical surveys, with an inaugural diamond drilling campaign at Tempiute set to commence soon. The company aims to advance this project in parallel with Pilot Mountain to establish a domestic source of tungsten for the United States.
