In September, Germany’s steel product sales increased by 0.8% year-on-year, reaching 785,553 metric tons. Despite this annual growth, sales were down 2% compared to the previous month. The flat product category, which accounted for 58.9% of the total sales, saw a decline of 6.1% year-on-year and 5.1% month-on-month.
Conversely, long product sales rose by 9% year-on-year and 2.9% month-on-month, totaling 245,945 metric tons. This data reflects a mixed performance within the German steel market, with varying trends across different product categories.
