The German government anticipates a total hydrogen demand of 95-130 TWh by 2030. Major steel producers, including Salzgitter and Thyssenkrupp, are actively seeking large volumes of low-carbon hydrogen, reflecting a significant shift towards sustainable steel production in the region.
