German rebar prices have remained stable despite falling scrap values and competitive import offers. Domestic material continues to be preferred, with prices ranging from €665 to €695 per tonne ex-works, depending on deal specifics.
Algerian suppliers have offered rebar at €600 per tonne CIF German port, but buyers further inland have shown limited interest due to logistical constraints. Some eastern German stockholders report Algerian rebar delivered at €630 per tonne, though volume requirements remain high.
In Austria, domestic and German producers are offering rebar at €630-640 per tonne delivered, while Italian suppliers are quoting base prices of €360-370 per tonne delivered, significantly above domestic Italian levels.
Market participants note that rebar in coil remains scarce, with little price difference between domestic (€660 per tonne delivered) and Italian mills (€650 per tonne). Despite supply constraints, weak construction demand continues to limit price support.
