The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has announced the imposition of anti-dumping duties on imports of aluminum alloy flat products from China. These duties, ranging from 7.1% to 20%, will take effect on April 25, 2025, and remain in place for five years. The affected products include coated or colored aluminum alloy sheets, plates, coils, and strips with thicknesses between 0.2 mm and 8 mm, specifically those classified under HS codes 76061210, 76061220, and 76061230. This move aims to protect GCC manufacturers from what is perceived as unfair competition due to the significant influx of Chinese aluminum imports.
