Frisa to Begin Production at New SBQ Bar Mill
Frisa, a leader in custom-forged steel solutions in Mexico, is set to launch its new plant for large special steel bars (SBQ) with an annual capacity of 400,000 metric tons. The facility will produce bars up to 16 inches in diameter and is nearly operational, according to the company. The plant features advanced technology supplied by Italian firm Danieli. Frisa's chairman previously announced a $200 million investment to enhance production capabilities at its facilities in Nuevo León. The company aims to strengthen its position in the aerospace, construction, and energy sectors with this new mill.
