According to GMK centerm Fortescue Metals Group has reported a 4% increase in iron ore shipments for the July-September 2024 quarter, reaching 47.7 million tons compared to the same period last year. This rise is attributed to the ongoing development of the Iron Bridge project in Western Australia, expected to reach full capacity within a year. However, the company noted rising production costs alongside declining raw material prices. For the 2024/2025 financial year, Fortescue forecasts total ore shipments between 190-200 million tons, including 5-9 million tons from Iron Bridge.
