Eversendai Corp Bhd has announced a partnership with Emirates Steel, a unit of Abu Dhabi's Emirates Steel Arkan Group, for the Trojena Ski Village project in Saudi Arabia. This collaboration will see Emirates Steel supply premium steel beams essential for the construction of the ski village, which is set to host the Asian Winter Games in 2029.
The Trojena Ski Village is part of Saudi Arabia's ambitious NEOM development initiative. Eversendai, through its subsidiary Eversendai Engineering Saudi LLC, is responsible for the structural steel erection works in conjunction with Saudi state-linked Albawani Co Ltd. While the contract size has not been disclosed, Eversendai's deputy group managing director, Narishnath Nathan, expressed pride in the collaboration, emphasizing its potential to showcase world-class steel construction solutions.
Emirates Steel's CEO, Saeed Alghafri, also highlighted the significance of this partnership, stating the company's commitment to providing sustainable steel solutions that meet the demands of innovative construction projects.
The Trojena area, located in the hilly Tabuk province near the Red Sea, will feature skiing facilities, chalets, apartments, and luxury mansions. Following the announcement, Eversendai's shares rose by 7.48%, reflecting positive market sentiment.
