In Southern Europe, offers for HRC are around €640-650 per tonne delivered, with achievable prices estimated at €620-630 per tonne ex-works. Some buyers have placed bids for large tonnages at €610-620 per tonne delivered.
Market participants are cautious due to weak demand and the impact of recent holidays, with many awaiting the Made in Steel trade fair in May for clearer market direction. Limited import availability and reliance on domestic supplies are also influencing the market.
